Don't pull on the cable or it may stress or break the internal wires. Sometimes when I move my headphone plug it makes the sound normal until it gets moved again. When I plug my headphones into the jack, the audio sounds distorted almost as if the audio were inverted and mono. Use the plug portion to insert or disconnect the headphones or earbuds from the device. I know it's not my headphones because they work on all the other devices so it must be the headphone jack. The sounds goes away when the earbuds stabilize after insertion. Crackling or popping sounds may be heard when inserting the earbuds, and then stop. This noise may be reduced by using a clip to keep the cable in place. Sometimes noise can be heard from the cable brushing against clothes.Connect a different pair of headphones or earbuds to the device or connect your headphones or earbuds to a different device to see if the issue still occurs.

Hi there, I was hoping someone could shed some light onto this matter as I have been looking around quite a bit for an explanation/solution to this but had no such luck yet.Ī week or two ago out of nowhere my beats started making a weird clicking noise:īefore anyone starts bashing me, I know the beats are nowhere near as good as some other headphones, but I got them at a price I couldn't refuse at the time.
